Anthropic ships Claude for Financial Advisors
Anthropic released Claude for Financial Advisors, a set of connectors and skills that help advisors with research, meeting prep, and paperwork. Advisors can connect Claude to tools they already use, such as Charles Schwab, BlackRock, Addepar, and Wealthbox, then use skills for meeting prep, portfolio reviews, and compliance checks. Investment recommendations, client messages, and other regulated work still need a person to review and approve them. (Anthropic, Sep 14, 2026)
What this means for you: If you have a financial advisor, some of the prep work behind your meetings could be done with AI help, but the advice itself still needs their sign-off.
Salespeople can now use Salesforce inside Claude
Anthropic released Salesforce in Claude in beta, a plugin built with Salesforce. It lets salespeople research accounts, prep for calls, review their pipeline, and draft Salesforce updates from inside Claude, with 37 built-in skills. Claude only sees what a seller's Salesforce permissions allow, and by default it asks before it changes anything. It is available in beta on all paid Claude plans. (Anthropic, Sep 15, 2026)
What this means for you: If your sales team uses Salesforce and pays for Claude, ask your admin about turning it on.
DeepSeek's open-source kit for building AI agents
DeepSeek released DeepSeek Harness, an open-source tool for developers who build AI agents, as a developer preview on GitHub. Its big idea is that everything is a plugin: the model connection, the tool list, the session log, and even the agent's main loop can each be swapped out. Within a few hours of launch, it picked up more than 33,000 stars on GitHub. (The New Stack, Aug 13, 2026)
