Good morning, and in today's Factwire you will get Grok Bot handing your work to a rival's AI, GPT-6 landing for every ChatGPT user, and Claude moving into your Google Docs.
Grok Bot will hand each job to the best AI, even a rival's
In one line: Elon Musk says Grok Bot will now use whichever AI does each task best, starting with Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5.
What happened:
Musk announced it on X early on Oct 7, naming Claude Opus 5.5, Midjourney, and Suno as models Grok Bot will use.
9to5Mac reported the same day that Grok Bot can already use Claude Opus 5.5.
Musk didn't say which tasks go to which model, or when Midjourney and Suno will show up.
What this means for you: If you use Grok Bot through SuperGrok or an eligible Cursor plan, harder jobs may get better results without you changing a thing. You don't pick the model, and no price change was announced.
The Next Web, Oct 7, 2026.
Factwire's take: I like this more than I expected to. Most of us don't care whose AI is under the hood, we care whether the email draft is good, and Musk just admitted the best answer isn't always his own. What I want to see next is the boring part: which company sees my request, and whether Opus burns through my weekly allowance faster.
Hit reply: would you trust Grok Bot more, or less, if it quietly sends your request to Claude or another company's AI?
GPT-6 comes to every ChatGPT user, with answers you can tap
In one line: OpenAI is rolling out a new GPT-6 model to ChatGPT, free tier included, along with Intelligent UI, which turns some answers into interactive visuals.
What happened:
GPT-6 with Intelligent UI started rolling out worldwide on Oct 7 for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users, with Free and Go users getting it starting Oct 8.
Answers can include tappable buttons, interactive charts, editable graphs, and small calculators built for your task.
If you don't want that many visuals, you'll be able to dial them back.
What this means for you: Ask ChatGPT something visual this weekend, like a savings plan or a trip outline, and you may get a chart or tool you can use instead of a wall of text.

Claude now works inside Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
In one line: Anthropic put Claude in a sidebar next to your open Google Doc, Sheet, or Slides deck, so it can read the file and edit it in place.
What happened:
Claude for Google Workspace is in public beta on all paid Claude plans, and you install it from the Google Workspace Marketplace.
In the default Ask before edits mode, each change shows up as a card you approve, and an Accept all edits mode lets Claude work without stopping.
New Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides connectors, also in beta, let Claude create and edit Google files from the Claude app, within your existing sharing permissions.
What this means for you: If you pay for Claude and work in Google Docs, you can stop copying text back and forth between tabs.

Try it this weekend: Grok Bot
Download or update Grok Bot from x.ai/bot. The desktop app should be on version 0.68.1 or later. It comes with SuperGrok and eligible Cursor plans.
Open Connect Apps in the sidebar and connect your Google Calendar and Gmail, so your Bot has real work to look at.
Ask your starred primary Bot: Make a 5-slide deck about my plans for next week. Show me sample styles first, then deliver it as Google Slides.
Then try: Every Monday at 8am, send me a short brief of my calendar and the emails that need me. You can right-click the routine later to pause or delete it.
Shortcut: Press and hold Cmd+D (Ctrl+D on Windows) to talk to your Bot instead of typing.
