Trash day is easy to forget, and every-other-week recycling makes it worse. Grok Bot can give you a heads-up the night before and name the exact bins, so you are not guessing at the curb.

Example

Say pickup is Wednesday and this is a recycling week. At 8 PM Tuesday, Grok Bot tells you trash and recycling both go out in the morning. The bins are at the curb before bed.

Set it up in three steps

Three steps: tell it your pickup day, ask for the Tuesday reminder, get the heads-up each week
  1. Tell Grok Bot your pickup day and which weeks recycling runs, or connect the calendar where you keep it.

  2. Tell it: every Tuesday at 8 PM, tell me which bins go out tomorrow.

  3. That covers it. The heads-up arrives every week before pickup.

Small extras worth adding

  • Holiday weeks often push pickup back a day. Ask it to check the holiday schedule from your town and warn you when the day moves.

  • Add yard waste or bulk pickup dates, and it will mention those on the right nights too.

  • Switch the reminder time to fit your evening, like 7 PM if you go to bed early.

FAQ

Time zone: it follows yours. If you message Grok Bot from another time zone, it updates the zone for reminders right away. The exception is a zone you chose under Timezone in Settings.

Calendar: you do not need one. You can just tell it the pickup day and recycling weeks. A calendar helps if your town publishes one.

If the reminder did not arrive: recurring reminders are routines, and when your plan does not include routines, Grok Bot names the plan that does.
